01 Start of my Niigata life

  Hello! I’m Mayu Sato in the faculty of International regional. I’m not from Niigata, so I’ve never came to Niigata until I been university students. My Niigata life filled with new things. Example are, living alone, meeting new friends and to experience Niigata culture. So I’ll write my Niigata life on this blog.😊

 

My First Trip In Niigata

 I went to Yahiko shrine in April. This is my first trip in Niigata. I can saw many deer and many kind of chickens before I enter precinct. Deer were very cute. And chickens looks depend on species. For example, one of the chicken have black feather, other one have long tail. It was interesting! I surprised thing in Yahiko shrine has okumiya*. I have to go up the mountain in cable car and walk. Cable car goes up above steep slope. There are still a lot of snow. When I walked up there, I almost slipped few times. I feel scary but I wanna go to there again.This is because I can see beautiful view. Look down from top of the mountain, there are large plain and the Shinano river. I follow this river whit the eyes, I can see also sea of Japan and Sado. Then I feel nature and flee.

My Favorite Class in Semester 1

 The reasons I enter this school is I want to consider problems of the world. For example, I interested in conflict, discrimination and so on. I consider it whit myself, and eventually, I hope I can contribute in solving global issues and making better world. Because I have this idea, Academic Literacy is favorite class in last semester. I think many students don’t like this class because it has heavy assignment and homework. I couldn’t sleep due to that, so I didn’t like it too. But I can learn things I like and answer whit myself so I like this class now.


Summer Vacation

I visit Tokyo in summer vacation and I went to Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo. Then I looked display items that is used Harry Potter movies. I can know history and secret things about Harry Potter. When I watch this movie first time, I was so exiting! Especially, a lot of letters come to Dursle’s home from Hogwarts scene. I was young when watched this scene. So I believed magic and, this scene looked like shining. It was so fun! I want to go to again!

    I have only seen part of the Harry Potter movie. So, fluttering letters picture makes me want to see the movie.

Delicious!

Every day sonowed in this week. 🤧🍂 December 16  I made Poached egg today. I went back my home, I found a poached egg recipe. I’ve ever made poached egg but I failed each time. However, this recipe was looks easy and delicious! Then, I tried. 😤❤ ️‍🔥 Result, I succussed! I put it on the toast and ate. I cut the egg, the egg yolk overflow. I want to made egg benedict but I didn’t know that how I make sauce hollandaise, so I add herb salt instead of the sauce. Herb salt is very match with egg. I ate stew and salad too. I was happy. Dinner December 18  I went to Kourakuen with my friends at lunch time. We ate ramen in there. Today was cold snowing, so we went to the Kourakuen as fast as possible from school. In to the Kourakuen, we didn’t have to wait long time to sit. Many sweets!

 I aet a lot of sweets this week!🥰🍩🎀 November 9 Today, I ate chocolate roll bread. Custard cream is kneaded into it. This bread chocolate flavor throughout but some time soft custard flavor spread. This bread is included my favorite one! I ate it for breakfast after went to walk outside. This morning, my room temperature is 13 Celsius so, I thought that today is cold. But when I went to outside, I feel warm so, I was surprised. I walk in riverbed with hear sound of river. Then a little yellow butterfly is fluttering. I felt a small happiness today. 😌 ✨ Chocolate roll bread   November 11 and 14   I ate two donuts for 11 th dinner. One flavor is strawberry and another one is chocolate. Both is not too sweet and crunchy. Strawberry’s is put some small pieces like a cookie and chocolate’s is put small chocolate chips.
